Special caliber pellets are mainly considered to be pellets in hundredths caliber. In the case of 4.5 mm (.177) caliber pellets, there are also hundredths caliber pellets such as 4.48, 4.49, 4.50, 4.51, 4.52 and 4.53 mm. The same is true for the 5.5 mm (.22) caliber. These hundredths calibers are mainly used by sport shooters in quality airguns in which they have tested which hundredths caliber pellet to suits their airgun best in terms of ballistic properties, especially accuracy. However, nothing prevents these hundredths calibers from being used by non-professionals in conventional airguns.

Another special caliber is, for example, the 5.1 mm (.20) caliber, where you should be aware of the fact, that it is not equivalent or a hundredths caliber to the 5.5 mm (.22) caliber, but it is a special separate caliber. Special caliber pellets are made by quality brands such as JSB (Czech Republic), Haendler & Natermann (Germany) and RWS (Germany). These brands are characterized by excellent ballistic properties, detailed output control to ensure that only the most perfect pieces reach the market, and weights with a tolerance of hundredths to thousandths of a gram.
