Compasses – Reliable navigation in the wilderness and for survival

Compasses are an essential part of the gear for every hiker, adventurer, or outdoor enthusiast. They are invaluable when planning a route, navigating unfamiliar terrain, or as a backup tool in case of GPS failure. When combined with a map, they allow you to accurately determine your position and direction, which is especially crucial in mountains, dense forests, or during bad weather. In our selection, you will find compact models for hiking, durable military compasses, and small compasses that are part of survival kits.

A compass is an important tool for hikers that can save your life if you lose your bearings in an unfamiliar area. It can help you find the right direction, for example if you get lost in an unfamiliar large forest. You can also find the compass in the survival kit.

A compass is a device used to determine cardinal points. It works by using the Earth's magnetic field to show us the direction to the magnetic North Pole using a magnetized needle called a magnetic needle. The first compass was probably a piece of magnetite floating on a wooden pad in a water container. Compasses are known from ancient China. The first mention of a compass dates from the 4th century.
