Pellet 6.35 mm, 7.65 mm and 9 mm

Pellets in these calibers are much less widespread than pellets in 4.5 mm (.25) or 5.5 mm (.30) calibers. This is due to the fact that there are far fewer airguns in 6.35 mm, 7.65 mm, and 9 mm (.35) calibers than those in the lower calibers. In many countries of the world, such air guns are not even freely available without a firearms license or other special authorization or obligation (permit/notification).

In the Slovak Republic, such air guns are freely available from the age of 18 if their muzzle velocity does not exceed 17 Joules. However, they are not very popular, as the combination of limited muzzle energy with a very heavy pellet results in low muzzle velocity and thus poor range and accuracy. Thus, the 6.35 mm, 7.65 mm and 9 mm caliber pellets are more likely to be chosen by owners of the respective airguns without limited power.

Manufacturers

Due to the low prevalence of airguns in these calibers, there are few manufacturers of such pellets. Brands such as JSB (Czech Republic), GAMO (Spain) and Haendler & Natermann (Germany) are involved in the production pellets in these calibers. They produce them mainly in sporting and hunting versions.
