CO2 PISTOLS
In this category you will find short air guns that are powered by carbon dioxide (CO2). It is usually compressed in a so-called cartridge; the most common type is the cartridge with 12 g of CO2. How much ammunition a single cartridge is capable of firing depends on how much projectile energy the weapon can produce. However, the capacity of a cartridge is also affected by the ambient temperature, the rate of fire and, for example, whether it has a Blow-Back function. On average, however, a cartridge will last approximately up to 50 shots. Such cartridges are usually disposable, so they cannot be refilled and used more than once. Pistols powered by cartridges shoot either conventional pellets in cal. 4.5 mm or 5.5 mm, or steel pellets (shots) in cal. 4.5 mm. The projectile energy of these types of airguns varies on average from about 3 J to 10 J.
DIFFERENT TYPES AND MODELS
If you are looking for not only fun but also accurate shooting, be sure to choose a gun that shoots classic pellets. Such versions also have grooved barrels, which makes shooting much more precise. We offer single-shot or even multi-shot models with magazines. The single-shot models include, for example, the Alfa Sport or the LOV 21. Both models are Czech-made and are very accurate for short air guns. We have many more multi-shot models by world famous manufacturers such as Gamo, Crosman, Umarex and ASG. Most of them are very well made and accurate replicas of popular pistols such as Sig Sauer, COLT 1911, CZ P-07, CZ P-09, CZ 75, Walther and Glock. Some of them also have a Blow-Back function, which means that the slide moves after each shot and therefore the shooting is much more realistic.
However, if you are looking for something cheaper for hobby shooting and you don't need to hit only the center of the target all the time, a gun shooting steel pellets in cal. 4.5 mm is sufficient. These are multi-shot, have a magazine, and are usually also very hearty replicas or imitations of pistols from world famous manufacturers and models. Many of them also have a Blow-Back feature. Always keep in mind, however, that these pistols require steel and not lead shots. Shooting lead shots can seriously damage your air rifle.
However, no manufacturer recommends to keep and store cartridge pistols with a full cartridge installed for a long period of time. Prolonged exposure to CO2 pressure on the seals can damage them. Therefore, after inserting the cartridge into the gun, always shoot it before putting it away. We also offer maintenance cartridges containing oil to lubricate the mechanical parts and treat the seals.
