New model of ESP telescopic baton

Since 1992, the Czech company ESP Products s.r.o. has been developing and manufacturing self-defense equipment, especially teargas sprays, telescopic batons and kubotans. It is also engaged in the development of various tactical accessories and add-ons for the police and army and other armed private or state forces. Their products are part of the equipment of various armed forces around the world. Their telescopic batons have won several durability tests over competitors. In 2022, this brand launched a new type of the long-awaited telescopic baton in several versions. Let's take a look at them.

TELESCOPIC BATONS IN GENERAL

Hardened telescopic batons are designed for professional use in the most demanding conditions. The baton is used for quick self-defense in various conflict situations. Compared to unhardened batons, hardened telescopic batons are made of stronger material. The hardening process significantly improves the physical and mechanical properties of the metal. Even with a very strong blow, the baton will not deform. The abrasion-resistant finish is protected by black nickel-zinc or white chrome. The hardness of the material from which the telescopic batons are made is approx. 50 HRC. They are thus suitable for use by police, security agencies and other armed or rescue forces. Of course, the properties of hardened baton will be appreciated by more demanding users in self-defense. A huge advantage of the telescopic baton is its foldability. However, it opens to full length with a quick swing and remains secured in that position when needed. ESP telescopic batons are used by various armed forces around the world.

NEW ESP TELESCOPIC BATONS WITH PUSH-BUTTON CLOSURE (EASY LOCK)

The long-awaited novelty by the Czech manufacturer of defense equipment ESP in the form of a hardened (tempered) telescopic baton with a push-button closure hidden in the end cap is finally on the market. The baton can be extended by a swing of the handle or by pulling the tip. The baton also extends directly when drawing from its holster. It closes by pressing the safety button on the end cap and pushing on the tip. This new baton model must not be closed with a strong perpendicular blow to the ground like standard telescopic batons, such action could damage the closing mechanism. During development, this baton was tested 6,000 times in the form of opening and closing it and it continued to work. Twenty-inch models are 508 mm in length. The length when closed is 8.8'' (224 mm). The weight is 480 g. Different types of handles and two types of end caps are available (ExBTT-20H, ExBTT-20HE, ExBT-20H, ExBT-20HE). The classic round tip is more compact and the triangular tip is larger and angular, which prevents the baton from rolling. Because of the hidden closing button in the tip, these new batons are not compatible with accessories that are installed by replacing the baton tip (e. g. flashlights, crowbars, strike tips, etc.). Also included is a plastic rotary holster model BHT-55.
