Rifles CZ-58 Compact, cal. 7,62 x 39 mm
A legendary weapon of the Czechoslovak army the CZ VZ 58 has become a term not only in our country but also in the world. This assault rifle (incorrectly called a submachine gun) is known for its high reliability, resistance to the environment and very good workmanship quality. The weapon works at any time, does not interfere with water, mud, sand and even cold. A quality shooter achieves the perfect shot over a distance up to 400 m, while shooting at group targets, very satisfactory results are achieved over a distance of 800 m. The CZ VZ 58 assault rifle was in the military primarily designed to destroy live enemy forces. And this by fire, bayonet or stock. In addition, it could also be used to destroy enemy's unarmored technology, low-flying helicopters and planes, in some cases falling paratroopers.
Although the weapon uses a system and a construction invented more than 40 years ago, it is still recognized as a powerful and reliable weapon. In the introduction year it was truly groundbreaking and its quality, in the opinion of several experts, surpesses the Soviet AK-47, but even many of today's contemporary, western constructions.
Technical description of the gun:
Powder compression is used for the propulsion of the charging mechanism. Gases are discharged via a gas channel to a gas system. It consists of a cylinder with a piston, with the piston being connected to the breech block carrier. The piston is spring loaded, which ensures its return to the forward position. The slide is locked by the bolt which is carried by the breech block. The bolt locks the slide using a deflection into the weapon housing. A steel magazine with a capacity of 30 rounds is attached to the submachine gun from the bottom of a magazine safety-catch. A fired cartridge is removed by a pull-off device, which pulls it out of the barrel, and a fixed ejector pin. After shooting all rounds from the magazine, the slide remains in the rear position caught by an auxiliary trap. The trigger mechanism is classic - a mechanical one, while in order to initiate the powder filling, the firing pin creates an impact on the cartridge cap. The trigger is protected by a metal trigger guard while a change lever is available to the shooter. It has three positions, marked 0 - the gun is locked, 1 - firing single shots, and 30 - dose fire (this one is disabled).
