WHICH MODELS OF AIR GUNS ARE ALSO SUITABLE FOR LEFT-HANDED SHOOTERS?

Not every airgun is optimized for left-handed use. Models and versions that are exclusively for right-handed use have some controls tuned and adapted for right-handed use only. For example, this may be the placement of the safety, its operation, the actual shaping of the stock or handguard, and more. Therefore, the control and operation of such weapons may be uncomfortable for a left-handed person, which may affect the quality and accuracy of shooting. For this reason, various manufacturers also offer models of air pistols, rifles and revolvers that are neutral to operate and can be easily handled by left- and right-handed users, and models that are designed exclusively for left-handed users. Read on and together we'll take a look at selected airgun models suitable for left-handed users.

BREAK BARREL AIR RIFLE GAMO BLACK KNIGHT IGT

Model Black Knight IGT cal. 4.5 mm is a typical example of an air rifle with a stock and controls designed to be suitable for both left and right-handed shooters. A left-handed person will not be disturbed while operating and firing it. It is also suitable for more demanding shooters and provides a projectile energy of up to 15 J. This model has a modern plastic stock, adjustable fiber-optic sights, covered sights, manual safety against unintentional discharge and the option of installing a rifle scope with a mount 11 mm wide. The trigger has SAT (Smooth Action Trigger) technology and has a smooth movement. IGT technology ensures more comfortable, quieter and more accurate shooting. This technology makes the rifle more comfortable to reload and maintains a constant muzzle velocity even with very frequent firing. The total length of the rifle is 1,110 mm and the weight is 3 kg.

CROSMAN VANTAGE NP BREAK BARREL AIR RIFLE

Model Vantage NP cal. 4.5 mm is also a classic example of an air rifle suitable for both right and left-handed users, but for less demanding users. It belongs to the lower price category and has a projectile energy of up to 7.5 J. It is therefore suitable for younger or beginning shooters - even left-handed shooters. The Vantage rifle has a simple wooden stock, fiber-optic sights, adjustable rear sight, and a safety against unintentional discharge, which is located in front of the trigger. There is also the option of installing a riflescope with an 11mm wide mount. The NP (Nitro Piston) technology means that there is no conventional spring in the rifle, but a nitrogen-filled piston. This technology provides quieter shooting, constant power, more pleasant reloading and less recoil. In terms of performance, it is thus equivalent to the classic Czech Slavia model 630 or 631. The total length is 1,143 mm and the weight is 2,990 g.

ZORAKI HP-01 PUMP AIR PISTOL

The popular Zoraki model HP-01 pump air pistol comes as standard with a right-handed grip. However, the market offers the option of purchasing a grip that is suitable for left-handed users. This model is also offered in extended barrel versions and in 4.5 mm (.177) and 5.5 mm (.22) calibers. The Zoraki HP-01 pistol has an ergonomic stock, a 22 mm wide top mounting rail on which a small red dot sight can be installed, a 22 mm wide bottom mounting rail on which e. g. a flashlight or laser sight can be installed, an adjustable rear sight, an automatic safety against unintentional discharge located in front of the trigger, and an adjustable trigger. Before each shot is fired, the pistol must be pumped up with the pistol's upper part. Depending on the type, the weight is approx. 1,000 g.

SHORT GUNS OPERATING ON THE PRINCIPLE OF CO2

Most CO2 guns are shaped neutrally with the stock to fit the hand of both right- and left-handed shooters. It's worse with controls like the magazine catch button and safety control. These are mostly positioned to suit more the right-handed users. A neutral model of air revolver powered by a CO2 cartridge that can be operated by a left-handed user without any problems is the Vigilante model by Crosman. On most pistols you will find controls adapted exclusively for right-handed shooters. From the most suitable for left-handed users, we choose the COLT GOVERNMENT M45 CQPB model by the German brand Umarex. The stock is shaped neutrally and the safety can be operated from both sides. However, the magazine catch button as well as the slide release is more suitable for right-handed users.
