Gas airsoft submachine guns and assault rifles are powered by carbon dioxide, which is usually contained in a cartridge (contains 12 g of CO2). They are characterized by a significantly higher projectile energy than basic manual or electric airsoft guns. Their projectile energy ranges from 2.00 Joules or more as standard. In a game called airsoft, a hit from them is very unpleasant, which is why in some competitions such powerful guns are based on the rules excluded from the game in advance. If you are considering buying a CO2 version of an airsoft submachine gun or rifle, be sure to buy some cartridges to stock up on. Don't forget the oil-infused maintenance cartridge, which you can occasionally use in place of a conventional cartridge to treat the seals in your gun.
