TELESCOPIC BATON ESP, NOT ONLY A MEANS OF DEFENCE, BUT ALSO A USEFUL TOOL

We have already written about the advantages and disadvantages of the telescopic baton as a means of defense. We have also written about the fact that we consider the Czech brand ESP (Euro Security Products) batons to be the best quality telescopic batons, which have come out as winners in various independent comparison tests. Today, however, we're going to take a look at what accessories make an ESP-branded telescopic baton a useful tool or utility. The article is sure to be of interest to members of the armed and rescue forces. Read on to find out more.

STRIKING END FOR HANDLE

Special end caps type BE-01, BE-04 and BE-05 can be used to replace the original ESP baton end cap on the handle. They are mainly used for the destruction of glass obstacles in urgent cases such as car accidents and police interventions. This aid is primarily intended for use by the armed forces and rescue units, or also for the ordinary motorist as an emergency tool for leaving the vehicle in the event of an accident. At the same time, it also prevents the baton from slipping out of the hand.

SPECIAL STRIKING ATTACHMENT

The special striking attachment type BWB-01 can be quickly and easily mounted on the telescopic baton. However, it is not attached to the handle, but to the tip of the extended baton. It is designed for the implementation of forced entries into objects (breaking glass, doors) and vehicles for police actions and rescue activities. The attachment is made of high-quality hardened steel supplemented with a plastic fixed center.

TACTICAL FLASHLIGHT

If you are used to carrying your ESP telescopic baton with you or transporting it in the car even in the dark, you will be pleased with the possibility of installing a flashlight. The flashlight is installed on the handle and can be placed there permanently. So, if you're moving around in the dark, it's definitely a good idea to have the baton on hand in combination with the flashlight. Compatible flashlights are type BL-02, BL-01 and BL-03. Police officers who are members of motorized units will certainly be pleased with the night police baton set type BNS-02.

SHOVEL

The BS-01 type shovel can be mounted on the handle of the baton. It will find application not only in military forces, police forces, rescuers and firefighters, but also in all those who will have to e. g. free off their stuck vehicle from the mud or snow. On the baton, the shovel can be adjusted in two positions. In the straight position it can be used as a classic spade or shovel. When secured in the second position (at right angles) it can be used as a small hoe.

CROWBAR

The crowbar type BCB-01 is designed primarily for police and rescue forces. It can be easily installed on the handle of the baton. It serves as a multi-purpose tool for forced entry, prying hinges and door locks and pulling out nails. It can also be used as a hammer.

PLIERS

To install the pliers type BCT-01 you need two telescopic batons. Such pliers can then be used to clip a metal wire or a bundle of electrical wires. They are used by special task forces, e. g. to overcome obstacles such as fences or barbed wires.

TACTICAL MIRROR

The M-2 (72 mm in diameter) and M-3 (92 mm in diameter) tactical mirrors are mounted on the end of the telescopic baton. The mirror can be used, for example, to detect the presence of an attacker around a corner or in a room you are about to enter, or to look under a car to see if there is a booby-trap in the form of an explosive installed on the chassis.
