Best expandable batons up to 30€

Are you considering buying an expandable baton, but can't decide which model and type will be most suitable for you? Are you looking for a model whose price does not exceed 30€? We have prepared for you a comparison of five different models of expandable batons with a popular length of about 21" (53 cm). Read on to find out more.

PLASTIC EXPANDABLE BATON FROM BRAND WALTHER

The Walther brand is part of the successful German corporation Umarex, which specializes in the production of weapons and, marginally, defense equipment such as batons, tear sprays and kubotans. The Walther 22" Synthetic ProSecur baton is completely made of plastic, thanks to which it weighs only 260 g. It is thus about half as light as metal expandable batons of similar length. Low weight is an advantage in terms of carrying behind your belt, and you can hardly feel that you have anything hanging on your belt. However, it can be a disadvantage in the defense itself, as punches with such a light baton may not be as strong as with a heavier, metal baton. Thus, the defense efficiency may be lower than when using a metal expandable baton of similar length. The very fact that it is made of plastic means that its durability and strength is significantly lower compared to metal expandable batons and can break during defense. The packaging of this baton also includes an ordinary nylon belt case, without the possibility of rotation, i.e. turning of the case to the most suitable position for drawing the baton. If you want a baton just "to be sure" and you want to save as much as possible, it will be the right choice for you.

NON-HARDENED EXPANDABLE BATON FROM BRAND ESP

For more than 20 years, the Czech brand ESP (Euro Security Products) has been exclusively engaged in the development and production of various defenses, especially for professional use (armed forces, private security services, etc.). As it is aimed at professional users, the products of this brand are characterized by high quality. The non-hardened expandable baton ESP 21" is a lower-class baton that has not undergone a hardening process during production. Its construction is therefore not as strong and durable compared to hardened batons. However, there is not as much risk of breaking as with a plastic baton. However, it can bend during defense, which can cause the baton will no longer be able to fold into a closed state. The weight is 440 g, so defense strikes can be more effective than using a lightweight plastic baton. From the point of view of wearing, however, you can already feel the weight of 440 g behind the belt. The packaging of this baton also includes a plastic case for a belt, without the possibility of rotation, i.e. turning the case to the most suitable position for drawing the baton. The price of this baton is even about 30% lower compared to a Walther plastic baton.

NON-HARDENED WALTHER EXPANDABLE BATON

The non-hardened expandable baton Walther 21" has essentially the same properties as the non-hardened expandable baton of the Czech brand ESP. However, for the German brand Walther, you pay about 20% more than the Czech brand, and instead of a plastic case, you get a nylon case.

HARDENED EXPANDABLE BATON FROM BRAND ESP

The fact that Czech hardened expandable batons are the winners of various comparative tests with competing batons speaks for itself. Hardened batons of this brand belong to the equipment of various armed forces around the world. Hardened expandable baton ESP 21" is characterized by ideal length and extreme durability. It is almost impossible to bend it and it can withstand extremely rough handling and blows to other durable objects (metal, brick, concrete, etc.). The armed forces use it not only to pacify a person but also to forcibly enter locked areas in the form of breaking or squeezing wooden or plastic doors. These batons can withstand almost everything. Their advantage is also the possibility of installing various accessories and aids, such as lamp, shovel and crowbar. Thus, such a baton may not only be a defensive means for you, but also a handy tool or instrument that is always at hand. The package of this baton also includes a plastic rotating belt case, which allows the case to be rotated to the most suitable position for drawing the baton. The weight of the hardened version is the same as in the case of the unhardened version - 440 g. If you care about quality and reliability, this baton will be the right one for you and you will still fit into the budget of € 30.

HARDENED COMPACT EXPANDABLE BATON FROM BRAND ESP

The hardened compact baton ESP 21" is just as durable and reliable as the classic expandable baton of the ESP brand. However, its handle is narrower, thanks to which it has a lower weight of 370 g. The package includes a metal clip, which you can use to attach the baton to where you need it. The advantage of this baton is the fact that thanks to its dimensions, you can also hide it in a pocket in a jacket.
