Army paints are paints with special tints that are used on military buildings, weapons, vehicles, machinery, equipment, accessories, etc. Outside the military, they are mainly used in tactical games such as airsoft and paintball, but some shades are also used by fishermen and hunters. Read on to learn what some of the color shades are called and how to apply spray paint correctly.
The basic characteristic of most military paints on buildings, machinery, equipment and weapons is their matt tint, which is understandable as glossy paints reflect light and could attract unwanted attention. Green shades have names such as NATO GREEN, NVA GREEN, FOREST GREEN, OLIVE GREEN and are mainly used on military equipment such as off-road vehicles, trucks and older types of aircraft. Green shades are mainly used in forests and mountains. Pale brown also has several military shades such as COYOTE TAN, DESERT, KHAKI, DARK EARTH and they are used e.g. on military motorcycles, some helicopters and aircraft. Brown shades are mainly used in desert areas. Many types and models of assault rifles are also produced in COYOTE TAN. Shades of grey are commonly referred to as TANK GREY, FIELD GREY and are used on some tanks and trucks. MFH brand paints provide a wide range of military shade paints that you can use to your liking in tactical wargames or other activities.
MFH spray paints can be used on materials such as metal, stone, wood and plastic. It is recommended to use a colorless plastic varnish before applying to plastics, so that the paint adheres better and does not start to peel off over time. Sprayed materials should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased. If the metal object is corroded, use a rust remover as well. For better quality, it is recommended to use a primer as well. Apply the paint from the container from a distance of approx. 25 cm in several thin coats as required. Be sure to shake the contents of the container vigorously for at least two minutes before use. The paint is dry to the touch after approx. 20 minutes. Complete drying takes approx. 12 hours. When you have finished working, turn the container upside down and clean the valve by spraying. Follow the warnings and safety instructions on the packaging.
