Accessories and equipment for tents

Are you planning to buy a tent? Or do you already have a tent and need to add or change accessories and equipment before the camping season starts? The camping season is about to start and we'll give you advice on which tent accessories and equipment you shouldn't forget. Read on to find out more.

BASIC INTERIOR SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES

A sleeping bag, is a basic item in which you can crawl in, zip up and sleep in comfort and warmth. Sleeping bags are primarily divided into winter and summer sleeping bags. Winter ones protect even in temperatures below zero. Summer ones are significantly thinner. If you are a fan of camping in spring and summer temperatures, the ECONOMIC sleeping bag or the even thinner and lighter EXTRALIGHT sleeping bag will be perfect for you.

If you want to make yourself more comfortable and you do not want your spine to suffer, do not forget about a good quality sleeping mat. For the less demanding, we recommend a standard thin sleeping mat with an insulating foil. For the more demanding, we definitely recommend a 3 cm thick self-inflating sleeping mat and a self-inflating pillow for greater head and neck comfort. If the dimensions of the tent allow and you'd like even more comfort, check out the comfortable folding lounger.

Interior lighting is also important. You can use any light fixture for interior lighting, or even the light commonly available on modern smartphones. However, if you're looking for something more powerful, we recommend a rechargeable LED lamp that glows in a 360° direction and can be charged by a charger, crank dynamo or via a built-in solar panel. If you're looking for something cheaper and more compact, we recommend a mini flashlight equipped with a magnet and carabiner that offers ample illumination and can be clipped to a metal object or hung.

Unfortunately, when camping and tenting in the countryside, you will also encounter unpleasant and annoying insects. Mosquitoes and ticks in particular are the most unpleasant, dangerous and annoying insects. Therefore, be sure to remember to use a repellent that repels these annoying insects. In case of injury, it is a good idea to have a first aid kit with you in your tent. If you are camping in an area where bears or wolves are present, don't forget the anti-animal spray, which won't take up much space in your tent and could save your life.

BASIC EXTERIOR SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES

Anchoring accessories for tents are usually included in the package of each tent. However, the experienced ones know that the lifespan of these accessories (especially anchoring pegs, tensioning ropes) can be very short if you get caught in a strong storm or wind. Therefore, it does not hurt to have a spare anchoring kit, so that you can replace the individual components in case of damage.

If you want to strengthen the resistance of your tent against water, dust and other dirt, don't forget the impregnating spray. If you apply this spray to the surface of your tent, you reduce the risk of your tent getting wet and dusty in the event of strong winds. However, it is versatile and can also be applied to clothing and boots.

Since you're not just staying in a tent when camping, it's a good idea to bring folding compact camping tables and chairs and camping stoves and utensils so you have somewhere to sit and relax, or to prepare and enjoy a meal.
