Popular shooting ranges and traps suitable for shooting air guns

This article is mainly for airgun owners who are still trying to save money on targets, shooting ranges and traps and are trying to make them themselves in order to save money. The current range of metal targets, shooting ranges and traps is really big and all of them are available at affordable prices. Let's take a look at them together.

ABOUT METAL TARGETS, TRAPS AND SHOOTING RANGES IN GENERAL

These devices are suitable for shooting with lead pellets. It is not recommended to shoot in metal traps, shooting ranges and targets with steel pellets, as the risk of deformation of such a device and the risk of projectile rebound is higher. Always ensure that your eyesight is protected by suitable goggles when shooting, especially against the possibility of projectile rebound. These devices are not indestructible and have a life span. They are mostly made of metallic materials with a thickness of 1 to 2 mm. In order for such a device to last you as long as possible, it is important to correctly estimate the distance of its placement in relation to the performance of your air gun.

PELLET TRAPS

The essence and main function of the pellet trap is to catch the pellets so that they do not fly away and several tens or hundreds of pellets are not dropped behind the target. The basic version of such traps are traps into which paper targets are inserted in a standard size of 14 x 14 cm. The most cost-effective of these traps are the Wosport and ASG traps. Shooting ranges with metal targets that also act as a trap are also popular. Such are, for example, the Walther shooting range with silhouettes of ducks and the Diana with silhouettes of foxes. A small and handy trap that combines the ability to shoot at metal targets with the option of shooting at a 14 x 14 cm target is the Swiss Arms trap.

METAL SHOOTING RANGES AND TARGETS

Metal shooting ranges and targets come in all sorts of forms and fun features, but they don't trap pellets unless you hit part of them. Biathlon types with three or five targets, for example, are popular. The Swiss Arms metal target combines the option of shooting at metal animal silhouettes and a 14 x 14 cm target. For the more demanding, moving, rotating and swivelling metal targets are also available, such as the Wosport STAR model, the Double STAR model and the Shooting model.
