The manufacturer Umarex is introducing new types of over-the-counter weapons under the T4E brand, called Defense-Training Markers. These new types of weapons have several uses. By loading rubber projectiles or projectiles containing tear gas, they can be used as effective defense weapons. By loading projectiles containing colored substances, they can be used as paintball weapons. The TS 68 Gen2 model is a double-barreled weapon in the shape of a shotgun and fires projectiles in cal. .68 (diameter approx. 17.27 mm). After unlocking and breaking the barrel, the projectiles are inserted directly into the barrel. Before firing, you use the switch lever to select which barrel you will fire from first. The option to fire both projectiles simultaneously is also interesting. The barrels are located next to each other. The weapon is powered by a 12 g CO2 cartridge. The cartridge is installed in the handle. Thanks to the cutting-edge Quick-Piercing (2.0) function, the CO2 cartridge is activated not immediately upon insertion, but only by a light blow to the bottom of the handle, making the weapon quickly usable. The basic structure is metal and supplemented with polymer parts, which has achieved a balanced weight of 1,700 g. The total length is 490 mm. The trigger is secured by a safety. The bullet energy is up to 16 J and the muzzle velocity, depending on the weight of the projectiles, is up to 105 m/s. There is also a 22 mm wide mounting rail on the forend, on which you can install, for example, a laser sight or a flashlight. An interesting training and defensive weapon.
