Under the T4E brand, Umarex is launching new types of over-the-counter weapons called Defense-Training Markers. These new types of weapons have several uses. When loaded with rubber projectiles or projectiles containing tear gas, they can be used as effective defensive weapons. When loaded with projectiles containing colored substance, they can be used as paintball guns. The TP 50 Compact Gen2 is a CO2 pistol that fires projectiles in cal. .50 (approx. 12.70 mm in diameter). A maximum of 4 projectiles can be loaded under the barrel. The pistol operates in semi-auto mode and is powered by an 8 g CO2 cartridge. The cartridge is installed in the handle. Thanks to the advanced Quick-Piercing function (in 2.0), the CO2 cartridge is not activated immediately upon insertion, but only after a light tap on the bottom of the handle, making the weapon quickly ready for use. The basic construction is metal and supplemented with polymer parts, resulting in a balanced weight of 585 g. The total length is 183 mm. The trigger is secured by a trigger safety. The projectile energy is up to 11 J and the muzzle velocity ranges up to 135 m/s, depending on the weight of the projectiles. An interesting training and defense weapon.
