Another hearty repeating and an extremely powerful pistol crossbow from Hori-Zone has been given a new design, namely a magazine with a capacity of 5 bolts. This crossbow is one of the strongest on the market. Its power is up to 195 Fps which is about 59.5 m/s. The performance of the crossbow has not dropped compared to its predecessor;  it is the same when using the lighter bolt that is used by the version without the magazine which is up to 235 Fps (72 m/s). The magazine is transparent and indicates bolt capacity. So you always know in advance about the last bolt. The limb is from fiberglass, it has a draw weight of up to 80 lbs., and the Redback series is known for its extra strong limbs. To deploy the string, a stringer aid is included, which will effortlessly shoot the original string. A higher standard is also used in the manufacturing of the string, it is a high quality braided string as used in large crossbows.

The overall design of the Hori-Zone Redback XR screams tactical. The weight of the crossbow even with magazine is only 0.85 kg, which is extremely light weight. Probably the best pistol grip ever, the ergonomics of the handle is perfect. The method of cocking is by pulling the lever in the rear - Cobra system. Before cocking you have to unlock the lever with the safety and after cocking it unlock it again, only then you can shoot. The crossbow also comes with an additional buttstock for a better grip. It is mounted on a Picatinny rail. The Picatinny rail can also be found on the upper part where the adjustable sights are located. You can replace the sights with additional optics such as a red dot sight. The magazine is made for special XR bolts with a 7.3" length and 5 bolts are included.

The lethal effect of the bolts is called "lethal distance" at a distance of about 30 m. However, the range of the crossbow is much more.

This is a powerful pistol crossbow, so take extra care when handling it. It can also be used for hunting small rodents.
