Bipods for airsoft guns

Bipods are used mainly in combination with long weapons, especially with rifles or submachine guns. They provide a more stable and accurate aiming, especially when shooting in prone position. In order to be able to choose a bipod correctly, you need to know whether installing a bipod on your weapon is possible, and if so, in what way. Sometimes the installation of a bipod is not possible without the purchase of additional accessories (for example mounting and the like). Let's take a look at the different types of bipods.

BIPODS AND WAYS TO INSTALL THEM

Bipods with the option of installation on the forearm with so called M-LOCK clamping system - especially widespread on some models of assault rifles and submachine guns. Such a bipod is, for example the telescopic bipod by Double Eagle. The height of the legs of this bipod is adjustable in the range from 20 to 28 cm. Folding and unfolding of the legs is very fast and practical. The extension of the legs is regulated independently, which is an advantage on uneven terrain.

Bipods with a mounting width of 22 mm can be installed on weapons that are equipped with a mounting rail with a width of 22 mm. If your gun is not equipped with such a mounting rail, it is quite possible that such a rail can be purchased for your weapon additionally. A bipod with such a type of installation is, for example, a bipod by the brand WELL.

Another type of bipods, are bipods which allow installation directly on the stock, through the eyelet for the strap loop. They are mostly used for sniper rifles. Such a type of bipod is the Big Dragon bipod, which, in addition to clamping to the stock, can also be clamped on a mounting rail with a width of 22 mm.

Bipods hidden in additional tactical grips are mainly used for more compact models of submachine guns. They are clamped on mounting rails with a width of 22 mm. Such grips are, for example grips by the brand Royal.
