WELL-KNOWN GUNS IN LEADING ROLES, PART 2

In the previous part of this article, we reviewed the COMBAT MASTER, Glock 17, B&T USW A1, and CZ P-09 pistols. In the sequel, we'll look at the movies that other well-known pistols like the H&K USP, Glock 19, Walther P99 and CZ P-07 have starred in.

H&K USP

The German Heckler & Koch USP pistol was launched in 1993 and is still in production today. The abbreviation USP stands for "universal self-loading pistol". The basic model is calibrated for 9 x 19 ammunition, but models in cal. .40 S&W and .45 ACP. are also produced.Various sporting and tactical variants (USP Compact, USP Tactical, USP Match) are also available. The pistol has starred, for example, in the movie Heat in the hands of Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro), in the movie Collateral in the hands of Vincent (Tom Cruise) and in the movie Jason Bourne it was fired by Jason Bourne (Matt Damon). GLOCK 19

The Austrian self-loading pistol Glock 19 is a compact version of the legendary Glock 17. Both models have been on the market for several decades and are still in production today. They are among the most widely used pistols in the world in the civilian, military and police sectors. The Glock 19 has starred in countless movies. For example, it appeared in the film John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum in the hands of John Wick (Keanu Reeves) and Sofia Al-Azwar (Halle Berry). It has also starred in the film Parker at the hands of Parker (Jason Statham). Umarex also offers an airsoft replica of the Glock 19.

WALTHER P99

The German Walther P99 pistol has in common with Glock pistols the absence of a standard manual safety against unintentional discharge. It was introduced to the market in 1997, so it is one of the later models of pistols. It was designed as an universal pistol to appeal to the armed forces as well as the civilian and sporting sectors. The most widely used versions are those calibrated for 9 x 19 and .40 S&W ammunition. The pistol has appeared, for example, in the film 88 Minutes in the hands of Dr. Jack Gramm (Al Pacino) and in the film Underworld: Evolution in the hands of Selene (Kate Beckinsale). Fans of the Walther P99 can also get it in the form of an airsoft replica by Umarex.

CZ P-07

The Czech pistol model P-07 is also one of the later models of the weapon. It was designed to appeal to the armed forces, but also to ordinary civilian and sporting gun owners, and it succeeded. The CZ P-07 is one of the compact models, so it is also suitable for defensive carry. It has appeared in the movie The Heat in the hands of Julian (Michael McDonald) and in the movie Tomb Raider in the hands of Richard Croft (Dominic West). A licensed replica of the CZ P-07 self-loading pistol is offered by the Danish brand ASG.
