NEW SPRINGFIELD ARMORY HELLCAT PRO BY ASG

The Danish airsoft and airgun manufacturer ASG in cooperation with the AIR VENTURI brand came out in 2025 with a novelty in the form of an airsoft replica of the Springfield Armory pistol model XD-E. This was soon followed by the HellCat Pro model in the form of an airsoft CO₂ pistol (cal. 6 mm BB) and an air CO₂ pistol (cal. 4.5 mm / .177).

ORIGINAL

The original Hellcat model is distributed by Springfield Armory. However, it is manufactured in Croatia by the HS Produkt armory. These two armories have been cooperating intensively for the last few years. The HellCat compact-sized self-loading pistol started to be produced in 2019 and is chambered for cal. 9 x 19 (9 mm Luger). In 2020, this pistol was named Best Pistol of the Year by American Rifleman magazine.

REPLICA BY ASG

The Airsoft version of the Hellcat Pro is powered by a 12g CO2 cartridge that is inserted into the stock. It is equipped with a 14-round magazine, both trigger and manual safety against unintentional discharge, metal slide and polymer frame, bottom mounting rail, both Hop-Up and Blow-Back functions, and red dot sight pre-fit (Optic Ready). With this pre-fit, you can install an original ASG red dot sight on the pistol. The controls (magazine catch, slide stop) are designed for right-handed shooters. The projectile energy is tuned to 1.5 Joule, which represents a muzzle velocity of up to 390 fps. Total length is 165 mm and weight is 596 g.

The version in cal. 4.5 mm (.177) cannot be distinguished at first glance from the airsoft version. Only upon close comparison you will notice the difference in the caliber markings. As far as the basic parameters and equipment are concerned, it is identical to the airsoft version. The version in cal. 4.5 mm, however, does not have an adjustable Hop-Up function. The magazine has a capacity of 17 steel shot. The barrel is smooth, without grooving. Projectile energy is tuned to 2.50 Joule in this case, which represents a muzzle velocity of up to 380 fps. Total length and weight are also identical to the airsoft version (165 mm / 596 g).

VYUŽITIE

If you are an airsoft player, you will appreciate the replica of the legendary Springfield Armory pistol, especially its design, quality workmanship, compact size, relatively high performance and realism of shooting thanks to the Blow-Back function. If you rather want to shoot at home in the backyard at cans or targets, the version in cal. 4.5 mm, which shoots steel shot is more suitable.
