NEW AIRSOFT PISTOL SPRINGFIELD ARMORY XD-E FROM ASG

Danish airsoft gun manufacturer ASG (Action Sport Games) has received another license to produce replica weapons. This time from the renowned American gun manufacturer Springfield Armory. The production began with an airsoft replica pistol model XD-E 4.5" and will soon be followed by replicas of other models.

SPRINGFIELD ARMORY

The history of the Springfield Armory dates back to 1777, with its founding initiated by President George Washington to supply arms and ammunition during the Civil War. The armory designs and manufactures short guns, submachine guns, rifles, and other forms of firearms. Since 2001, it has cooperated closely with the Croatian armory HS Produkt to develop joint models of pistols, including the XD-E model in 2017

BASIC DESCRIPTION OF AIRSOFT PISTOL XD-E

The projectile energy is supplied to the gun by a 12 g CO2 cartridge. The cartridge is inserted together with the pellets (6 mm BB) into a common magazine. There is also a Blow-Back function, which makes the slide move with each shot as on a real self-loading pistol. The pistol is equipped with ambidextrous safety and ambidextrous magazine release, making it usable for both left- and right-handed shooters. It also features a fiber optic sight and a lower mounting rail on which you can place a laser sight or flashlight. The XD-E airsoft pistol comes in an illustrated box with one magazine and an Allen wrench for installation of the cartridge.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The XD-E has a decent projectile energy of up to 1.05 J and a muzzle velocity of up to 100 m/s (330 fps). The magazine has a capacity of 14 pellets. The firing mode is semi-auto. The slide catch can be operated from the left side only. Disassembly is done with a rotating disassembly segment, similar to the real pattern. The frame of the gun is made of polymer. The slide, barrel and internal mechanisms are made of metal. The total length is 197 mm, the barrel length is 109 mm and the weight is 880 g.

CONCLUSION

We are pleased that ASG brand is expanding its offer of airsoft replica guns by adding Springfield Armory brand. During 2025, ASG is expected to launch the Springfield Armory HellCat airsoft replica pistol, which will also be available in the 4.5 mm version. As for the XD-E model, the positive side is the fact that it feels very realistic in the hands thanks to its workmanship and weight. Thanks to the ambidextrous safety and ambidextrous magazine release button, the pistol is also suitable for left-handed shooters. We consider the lack of a Hop-Up function setting to be a negative.
