Ammunition for gas guns

From year to year there arises necessity to own any gun. Among the primary reasons of this act belong more difficult economic situation of inhabitants, “western” anti-culture, unprovoked violence and effort to safe own property (guard-dog without needed training). How can we avoid a result of attack? There exist many possibilities. In this article we deal with relatively effective possibility – gas guns.

A great advantage of gas guns is possibility of their owning without a firearms cFrom year to year there arises necessity to own any gun. How can we avoid a result of attack? There exist many possibilities. In this article we deal with relatively effective possibility – gas guns certificate, there exist only condition and it is age of 18 year. Let’s assume that a law will be changed in time as for example in Germany, where it is necessary to own so called “small firearms certificate” by its wearing in the public.

Attention: You never use gas guns to attacker with real gun!!!

Calibre

• .22 Long (revolver)
• .380 (revolver)
• 8 mm (handgun)
• 9 mm (handgun)

Less often calibres are: .315, .45. We do not deal with them so this article is not about them!

There is no meaning to think about something less than 8 mm in case of security of effective defence. Mass of gas is same, but “range of fire” is different. We offer results of practising in good conditions:

The handguns have in total better range because there is no gas leakage in a place between a cylinder and a barrel.

Effective substance

Today there exist 3 types of effective substance in the market:

•      Blue – CN Gas (chloracetophenon) – tear gas CN
•      Yellow – CS Gas (chlorbenzalmalodinitril) – tear gas CS
•      Brown/orange – INN Pepper Gas (Nonivamid) – technical pepper

We also know ammunition without effective substance – available for shooting of fireworks,

•      Green – blank

and defensive ammunition designed for blinding a attacker by hard flash:

•      Gold – flash defence,

Flash ammunition is made in calibre of 9 mm/ 0.380 and technical pepper is made in calibre of 9 mm/ 0.380/8 mm.
Only CN and CS ammunition is available in calibre 0.22 Long (and naturally blank 6 mm blank).

About minimal mass of effective substance:

• CN gas: 120mg/ cartridge (against human)
• CS Gas: 80mg/ cartridge (against human)
• Nonivamid: 50mg/ cartridge (against human), 120mg/ cartridge (against animal)

In some countries there is a limitation of amount of Nonivamid in one cartridge limited by maximum of 50mg. We find for very unhappy result and possibility of insufficient stopping effect against attacking animal, we can be hurt.

There are more companies which made ammunition, for example Wadie or UMAREX.

Stopping effect

Practical many years experiences – apply to 1 shot.

• - stopping attack for 0, 5 – 1 min
• - stopping attack for 1 – 5 min
• - attacker partial paralyzed, usually there is no other attack
• - attacker strongly paralyzed and disoriented for 15 and more minutes
• - attacker is unconscious, strong hurting, total disorientation for 30 and more minutes

As you can see in table, it has not point to use CN Gas in this time. Its stopping effects are very little and it takes only few minute.

Effects on human body

CN Gas - smarting eye mucosa and nasal mucosa, burning skin, lacrimation, problems with breathing.

CS Gas - irritate eye, mucosa, the skin and airways. It causes immediate eye streaming and lacrimation, convulsive eyelid closing, further smarting mucosa and burning the skin, sneezing, cough, runny nose, nausea and breathlessness, or lower coordination of movements. It is suitable for defence against dogs.

Nonivamid - Effective against drunken people, people with lower pain threshold, wild and aggressive animal. Immediate effect on mucosa. Substance causes temporary blindness, breathlessness, irritant cough, puking and hard burning the skin. Possible puffed eyes and pulmonary oedema! Long-term effects, hurts on hit places take several minutes!

We find a dilemma by usage of Nonivamid against people as by usage expansive shots. We have to think on humanity but an attacker often wants to kill us.

All above mentioned substances are harmless to health and it does not cause permanently effects.

Shots

• Hurt by shooting from applied gun can be (and usually are) mortal!!!
• We never shoot against wind!
• We aim at attackers’ face! Gas is not effective through clothes!
• Minimal distance from our face would be 50 cm!
• Minimal distance from attackers’ face has to be 50 cm, in other way he can be seriously hurt by pressure of gas arisen with explosion and by crystals of effective substance, which can not be changed to gas!
• In case of attack of wild dogs we shoot by double-shot (Nonivamid) – the first when animal is in distance of 3 – 3,5 m (aim 20cm in front of dog), the second one to 0,5 sec. Later. Dog does not have e time to stop in a safety distance and dog breathe more effective substance by it. We secure by the second one shot that animal cannot get nearer to you and there is no contact. (We shoot CS Gas three-time.)
• In case of slow dogs’ attack, we can never lose an eye contact with dog! When it get nearer than 1,5 m we shoot – same with double-shot (shot straight on dog).
• If you become to contact with animal, we advise (by the fighting dogs which let us by the biting) to shoot from putting gun. In this case we have to be confronted with effective substance released by shot and probably dogs’ owner and his lawyers.
